There are very limited options available for food and beverages in this area. Your best bet is to purchase the Package offered by our Travel Partner and let them take care of you. If you used to snacking frequently, we recommend that you bring this from home. Please note that the Malnad area is ecologically sensitive. We strongly recommend against bringing packed/processed foods wrapped in plastic or other pre-packaged forms. If you do choose to bring these with you, we request you to consciously take back the trash with you to a place where they can be disposed off properly.
Pre-Runner Dinner (5:30 - 7:30 pm, Friday October 6, 2017) We are pleased to host all participants and their families for a pre-race dinner at Rajgiri Estate. This dinner will be hosted by Cafe Coffee Day. We understand that our runners need plenty of rest before their long runs the following day. So we have planned an early dinner with an appropriate menu for the run.
Pre-Race Breakfast (Saturday, October 7, 2017) Breakfast will be provided to all participants at the venue prior to the start of the runs.
In-Race Snacks and Hydration The aid stations will be stocked up with sufficient bites and beverages during your run. Since this is an ecologically sensitive area, we will not use any plastic or other disposable containers. Water and energy drinks will be provided in reusable plastic or glass cups. Runners are requested to bring their own bottles or hydration packs if they are not comfortable with reusing cups. The aid stations will be equipped with:
Bananas, Oranges and seasonal fruits subject to availability
Salt and Sugar
We will be using vegan RRUN During as energy drink during the run. The RRUN During is a blend of carbohydrate, electrolytes, amino-acids and key osmolyte and ensures adequate hydration and endurance through the run. Details are available at Unived Sports.
There are a few rest areas along the course. These will additionally provide traditional South Indian light snacks and soups.
Runners are welcome to carry their own fuel for use during the race. Should you do so, please ensure that you do not throw trash around and carry it back with you. We ask for this favour because we are running through privately owned estates.
Post-Race Meal A suitable post-race meal will be offered keeping recovery in mind.
Non-Participants If you are coming to our event with family and friends, we will provide them with simple South Indian breakfast and lunch on the run day. All other meals are included in the Package offered by our Travel Partner.
